My Writing

As S.H. Aeschliman I write prose and poetry (and prose poetry) about dusty heart-drawers, awkward sexual encounters, and being chased by nunchuck-wielding ducks. Under pseudonym I write romance and erotica with a strong social justice bent and am the indie author of seven books published in the last five years. In past lives I've also been a news writer and a freelance travel and culture writer.

In 2017 I'm thrilled to be teaching genre fiction writing at Show:Tell, Workshop for Teen Writers and Artists and to co-host Hodgepodge, a quarterly reading of prose, poetry, and all that lies in between, written by writers whose styles are nothing alike. My current writing projects include a collection of dream-based prose poems and a feminist historical pirate romance novel.
